Appointments
All the doctors and nurses will see patients by appointment during the day. The receptionists will help you book an appointment with the appropriate person. Demand for appointments is always high, so please help us by cancelling any appointment you are unable to keep. It would be helpful if you can give the receptionist some idea about the problem, so they can book you to see the appropriate person. This does not affect your right to confidentiality.
How to see a Doctor or a Nurse
Even though you will be “registered” with one doctor, you can choose to see any of the doctors or nurses at this practice. Some of the doctors and nurses work part time and may not be available every day.
Booking an Appointment
Please telephone 020 7228 1619 from 8.30am. You will have the choice of making an appointment on the same day, the following day or 1 week in advance for GPs and up to 4 weeks in advance for nurses. We aim to allocate appointments first thing in the morning for patients who have to go to work.
Nights and Weekends
If you need to speak to a doctor outside normal surgery hours for urgent medical problems, please telephone the surgery on 020 7228 1619. A recorded message will give you the telephone number of our Emergency Line or Out of Hours Service which is currently 0845 602 62 92. A doctor will either give you telephone advice, ask you to attend an out of hours medical centre or arrange to visit you at home. For general medical advice call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.
The online appointment booking service is suspended.
Booking an appointment online
You can now book or cancel an appointment with a doctor online with the service called EMIS Access. In order to use this service you need to be a registered patient and have a registration form detailing your:
- Access Pin/ID Number
- Practice ID Number
- NHS Number.
To obtain this form you will need to come into the surgery and speak with one of our receptionists who will provide this.
If you have already done this and have your registration letter you will need to create a user account by going to the EMIS Access web site at https://access.e-mis.co.uk or it can also be accessed by visiting the site of Patient.co.uk – www.patient.co.uk
The online appointment booking service is suspended.
You can book most appointments with the doctor, but routine appointments such as BP checks, Blood tests, Smears and Vaccinations can be booked with a Nurse.
