Vaccination Schedule

New Patients Health Check
All patients need to be registered. This involves completing some forms and making an appointment with the health care assistant to complete the registration process.  You can  fill out a pre-registration form situated on the 'Patient Registration' page of this website.


Flu Clinic
Runs from October to December
We recommend this especially for those above 65 years of age and people with a chronic illness, especially heart and lung complaints and diabetes.   


inhaler Asthma Clinic
This is with our Practice Nurse who will do a full Asthma check. This includes checking your medication as well as your inhaler technique, peak flow, and a spirometry measurement as appropriate. Just contact the Surgery to book an appointment.


Health Check for Adults with learning disability  
For adults over 18 years of age. This is an annual check provided by the doctor and a nurse and offers a general health check and medication review as appropriate.


 Minor Surgery Clinic
This is for removal of simple lumps & bumps. Held on Tuesdays between 11.30am and 12.15pm with Dr Okonmah. Please ring for an appointment.


 Wart Clinic
This is for removal of warts by freezing. This is held once a month on a Tuesday, please ring for an appointment.


 Health Visitors
Our Health Visitors are based at Bridge Lane Health Centre. They can be contacted on 020 7441 0730. The Health Visitors are able to give advice on all aspects of child welfare.


immuniseBaby & Childhood Vaccination Clinic
This clinic is held at the surgery on Wednesdays between 1.30 and 3.00pm for immunisations and 6 week baby checks only. It is run on a first come first served basis. Thursdays clinic is between 1.30 and 3.00 for weighing only.


 Antenatal & Postnatal Examination
This is offered by appointment with a doctor during normal surgery hours.


 Physiotherapy & Counselling
These are available at the surgery, following consultation with the doctor or nurse.  Please ask at reception about these services


 Practice Nurses can provide for the following services:

  • Family Planning Advice
  • Cervical Smears
  • Travel Vaccinations (make appt. 8 weeks prior to travel)
  • Other Vaccinations, including childhood immunisation.
  • Influenza Vaccine -Available yearly in the autumn with the Nurse. 
  • Hepatitis B and other vaccinations for special groups. Please see the Nurse for details.
  • Wound management (removal of sutures/clips and treatment of leg of leg ulcers)
  • Ear Syringing
  • Blood Pressure checks
  • Registering pregnancies (this is not an antenatal appointment)
  • Healthy Lifestyle Advice

Practice Nurses are also available to see some minor illnesses such as:

    • Ear Infections
    • Cystitis
    • Sore Throats
    • Emergency Contraception
    • Vaginal Thrush
    • Hayfever

 Diabetic Clinic
This is held weekly on a Thursday with the Practice Nurse to check the health of diabetic patients and this may include a review of medication, diet, as well as blood and urine tests.

Before attending an appointment at the clinic, please do not eat anything except water for 8 hours so that the blood test can be performed. On arrival please ensure you ask for a bottle to provide a urine sample prior to seeing the Nurse/Doctor.

Do not fast if you are on insulin, take insulin and meals as normal.  Please contact the surgery in order to arrange an appointment.


 Coronary Heart Disease or Healthy Heart Clinic
This clinic is run on Friday mornings for a 2 month period by Dr Savage and Nurse Jenifer. 

The aim of the clinic is to review your health, checking that you are getting the best care to stay healthy.  It will also be an opportunity to answer and discuss any worries you may have about looking after your heart. The goal is to help you live as healthy and full a life as possible!

You will have your medication reviewed, Blood pressure monitored, as well as a discussion on diet and exercise.  It is useful for us to have blood test results before we see you.  So, you will need to fast from midnight (no food allowed only water the night before your appointment).

Attendance at the clinic is by appointment only.  Please contact Reception and ask for an appointment for the Healthy Heart Clinic.


Epilepsy Clinic
The practice is currently working to provide regular review for all our patients with epilepsy. 

The review is an opportunity to check that you are getting the best care you need to control your epilepsy and help you stay healthy. We will discuss new options and changes in circumstances with regard to monitoring your epilepsy, such as new drug options, driving and epilepsy, side effects from drugs and contraception.

Attendance is by appointment only so please call our reception team.

A blood test can be carried out by the Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant and will only be available at morning appointments. There is also a blood test service provided at the following (please ensure you have your blood request form).

 Physical Activity and Exercise Advice
We currently have an Physical Activity advisor on site who runs a special clinic each week to advise patients on the physical activity needs best suited to improving their health and well being. If you are interested in attending the clinic, you will need to book an appointment with the doctor who can refer you to this and or other similar services available in the community.


medicationMedication Review
From time to time we need to see you at the surgery to review and discuss your medication.


Test Results
For test results and investigations, telephone 020 7228 3399, after 2.30pm. All test results are seen by a doctor. The receptionist can only tell you whether the test is normal or if another course of action is necessary.


Certificates
Certificates signed by a doctor, are only issued for illnesses longer than 7 days. For illnesses less than 7 days, you do not need to see a doctor, a self certificate form is available at the reception desk.
Non-NHS Examinations
If the doctors carry out medical examinations for insurance purposes or other fitness medicals, e.g. HGV licences, elderly drivers, sporting and pre-employment medicals, recommended BMA charges will apply. We act as examiners for several life insurance companies. Should we be asked to examine you for their purpose, the company will be responsible for the fee.
