Results of our Patient Questionnaire 2007/8
  • Our survey showed overall satisfaction was very good
  • The majority of patients were very satisfied with the level of clinical care provided by doctors and nurses and very pleased with the receptionists whom they said were very helpful
  • Patients were generally satisfied with the appointment system and said it was good to get seen on the same day. However, a number of patients said they would like to have more evening appointments available.
  • Patients are still finding it difficult phoning through to the surgery especially at peak times. They also said they would like easier access to speak to a doctor for advice.
  • In view of the findings we will look at implementing the following changes.
  • Review our telephone system.
  • Provide more evening appointments
  • Create more time slots at the end of morning surgery so that the doctors can provide more telephone advice to patients.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to complete the questionnaire. We value your feedback and suggestions.
We would also like to thank the members of our patient group who attended our meeting on Wednesday 27th February 2008.

Self Check-in Screen
You will notice that we have now installed a self check-in screen in reception. This is proving very popular and patients are happily using it. This frees up receptionists time that will then enable them to answer the phone more promptly.

We are very pleased to welcome Nurse Lucille McGregor who joined our nursing team in January 2008.
